Our Vessels

We currently operate a 34' Falkins Class II Fast Response Craft, built by Titan Boats in Sidney, B.C.

It replaced our Zodiac Hurricane 733 rigid hull inflatable, which was sold in 2010 to a new CCGA station up the coast in Gingolx. The funds received were applied toward the cost of the new boat.

This new rescue vessel, which we received on April 1, will vastly improve our ability to respond to missions and to return safely.

It has up-to-date electronics, including  FLIR, Forward-Looking-Infra-Red, a night-vision camera system which greatly enhances the rate of success on night time searches.

The new vessel was commisioned at a dedication ceremony on May 18, 2011, with dignitaries from several levels of government, including First Nations, attending.
